Welcome to the Syston Food Gusto Festival

Sunday 25th August 2019: 10.30am – 5.00pm £2 Entrance. Under 12’s free.

Come and experience the taste of local and regional producers this August. The Festival will bring producers and their products to Central Park in Syston, with an array of Food & Drink on offer. Couple this with entertainment, from Live Music to Chef Demonstrations, there’s something for everyone. Entry is just £2 for adults, with Children under 12 going free! More info on all below.

From locally reared venison and mouth watering Melton Mowbray pies to Farmhouse cheese, artisan bread and lovingly crafted cider, homemade preserves to olives, we have a wide range of hand picked producers from all backgrounds to tickle your taste buds so make sure you don’t miss out.

Brunch, Lunch or Dinner – An All Day Menu

Why not try something new and enjoy brunch, lunch or dinner out where you can choose from Longhorn aged beef, grass fed Lamb burgers, Greek Soulvaki wraps, homemade organic Sausages, pita and curry, Raclette cheese, Neapolitan style pizza, Korean chicken, Biltong, Ceylon curries, Chinese noodles, wood fired pizza, organic lamb and beef, halloumi fries, hot and spicy Samosas, onion Bhajis, Malaysia dishes, Tandoori lamb, vegetable cutlet, chilli paneer, vegan wraps to name but a few. These could all be washed down with an barista coffee, local craft ale and cider, new British cocktails or English wines grown and produced in the Midlands.

Relax & Soak Up The Live Music

We are passionate about bring great Food & Drink together with music. We have Sincerely Yours, a 40s/50 and 60s hits duo who will perform a great set of live music throughout the day that you can sit and relax to while soaking up the great Food & Drink on offer. There’s also a group of Local performers who will be busking throughout the day.

Demonstrations By World Class Multi-Michelin Star Chef From Syston!

Not only can you buy and taste great Food & Drink, we have demonstrations to show you some recipes to spice up your kitchen. Local Syston chef Tom Cockerill has had a career of nearly 20 years working in world class multi-Michelin star kitchens across the world and two award winning restaurants of his own in the UK. He now works as a food creative involved in Film, TV and Photography.

Something For Little Ones – Children’s Entertainment

There is a great selection of children’s rides available, along with face painting, henna tattoos and glitter tattoos.

The event runs from 10:30am till 5pm on Sunday 25th August. Entry is just £2 for adults, with Children under 12 going free. Payment is made on the gate.

Parking

Use Town centre car parks (charges may apply). Additional event parking is available in Memorial Park in Syston for a £1 donation – Use LE7 1HT.
