Syston Food Gusto Festival to offer a taste of something different

Food lovers will be able to sample the region’s finest culinary delights at a brand new food and drink festival taking place in Syston this year.

The first Syston Food Festival will showcase the best the region has to offer in the way of quality produce. Taking place on Sunday 25th August , the event has over 50 exhibitors with hot food, samples and demonstrations creating an explosion of sights and smells to tantalise the taste buds. There will be dozens of unique and artisan traders from hand made fudge, delicious tray bakes and preserves to organic meat, pies, pickles and pates,

The event is organised by Food Gusto, who have been running successful festivals and events in Ashby de la Zouch and Tamworth since 2010. It will be set in the picturesque Central Park in the centre of Syston just seven miles from the centre of Leicester.

The Event Manager Wesley Ewing commented
“There are lots of quality and niche purveyors of food and drink in the region and this is about showcasing these businesses and offering people a taste of that quality.”
Food Gusto has been organising food and drink events in the Midlands region for several years. “We are passionate about great food and drink and Food Gusto is all about promoting what the region has to offer. From home-grown wine to handmade cheeses, there will be a wide range of businesses represented.”
“The festivals we organise are an explosion on the senses with lots to see and taste, giving people the chance to try new things and also to buy the best food and drink available in the region. We are really excited about our first event in Syston.”

The festival will have something to offer people of all ages, including children’s activities and rides, live music from up and coming region artists and a craft beer tent.

Any local food and drink producers, or artisans of any type who would like to exhibit at the festival can contact Wesley or Vincent from Food Gusto on 01530 411337 to check availability.
Entrance to the Food Festival area will be charged at £2 per adult while under-12s get in free.
