Taste the quality of local and regional products at the Tamworth Food Gusto Festival this September. The aim of the event is to bring the region’s best Food & Drink to one beautiful venue, along with an entertainment programe including live music, cooking demonstrations and children’s rides. Entry is just £2 for adults, with Children under 12 going free! More info on all below.
From locally reared venison and mouth watering Melton Mowbray pies to Farmhouse cheese, artisan bread and lovingly crafted cider, homemade preserves to hand crafted chocolates, we have a wide range of hand picked producers from all backgrounds to tickle your taste buds so make sure you don’t miss out.
Brunch, Lunch or Dinner – An All Day Menu
Why not try something new and enjoy brunch, lunch or dinner out where you can choose from Wood Fired Pizza, Organic Homemade Sausage and Slow Cooked Meats to Noodles, Malaysian and Delicious Burritos along with Halloumi Burgers and Fries and Vegetarian and vegan wraps to name but a few. These could all be washed down with an barista coffee, local craft ale and cider, British cocktails, Gin, Prosecco or English wines grown and produced in the Midlands.
This year’s Food Gusto at Tamworth brings together a wealth of culinary ideas in the cookery marquee. All you need to know about bread making, honey production, food from Vietnam, Morocco, Thailand and how to pull off the perfect dinner party with no stress. Come along to the light-hearted demos for some fun and laughs whilst picking up some cheffy tips at the same time. Bring the dog, granny, glass of wine or whatever you fancy, sit down for 40 minutes and relax, let us do the work.

The demos are being expertly ran by Simon Smith, a private chef based in Lichfield, Staffordshire. He has decades of experience in restaurants, hotels, private villas, British Embassies, yachts and cookery schools and will guide you effortlessly through some great new and easy recipes. He’s joined this year by local artisans who will open the lid on their craft and give you some insight into their process.
We are passionate about supporting up and coming musicians. We have a line up of live music that you can sit and relax to while soaking up the great food and drink on offer. Rob and Mitch will be running the live music stage at Tamworth Food Gusto festival. The pair perform a variety of popular, acoustic, covers individually and as a duo, providing the perfect backdrop for those chilled festival vibes. There is a great selection of children’s rides available, along with face painting, henna tattoos and glitter tattoos. On Sunday we also have The Owl Man, who has a display of birds of prey.
Where to Find Us
The magnificent Castle Pleasure Grounds sit right in the centre of Tamworth between the traditional town and the new retail park. The site has ‘Easy Access’ in Tamworth from the A5 and M42. There are 9 car parks within easy walking distance.

The Event Venue
Sitting high above the confluence of the rivers Tame and Anker is Tamworth Castle at its heart, 900 years of history waiting to be explored. A visit here is a must. The cascading flower beds below scent the air with their perfume. The grounds have many paved foot-ways to enjoy a leisurely stroll where nature can be seen at play. Take the Planet Walk, simply follow the red rockets laid into the path. For the younger, more adventurous, there is a rambling, enclosed play park, a skate park, tennis courts, crazy golf, you can even hire a bike.
